HP buys Palm, webOS will live on!

Speculation on a possible Palm buyer has ranged from Lenovo to HTC to RIM and more. We can now put that all aside and thank the mobile gods that HP is buying Palm for a reported $1.2 billion. As a Palm webOS fan myself I have to say I am rather excited about the news since there is now a large company behind Palm and it looks like webOS will continue to be supported for years to come.

HTC is out, looks like Lenovo may be last possible Palm buyer

We heard last week that Palm was offering itself up for a sale with reported interested parties being Lenovo and HTC. I said HTC webOS devices would be exciting several weeks ago and then wrote up what I thought the possible HTC strategies were regarding Palm. According to a report on Engadget we can stop thinking about HTC as a possible buyer of Palm.
