You don’t have to wait for Google to update your Nexus One OTA

February 3rd, 2010 by

As readers here know I am quite happy with my Google Nexus One and have been using multi-touch with the Dolphin browser. On my train commute home I read all over Twitter that Google started rolling out an update for Nexus One owners that was also reported here on ZDNet by Sam and Jason. It took forever for me to get the last update sent over-the-air to my T-Mobile G1 so I immediately started looking for ways to get the update done manually. It didn’t take long for me to find that my buddy Phil posted the specific directions to manually update your Nexus One using no hacking or anything. This is a completely legitimate way to update your Nexus One and does not require rooting or anything shady at all.
